Ok, LAST layout today! i promise!!!!

hehee... couldn't wait to share this one, finished this evening, It was from my scrapdango June kit, Junkitz fanciful.. its absolutely perfect. the BEST kit i've ever had, the layout practically made itself.. looking forward to whatever i can milk out of this baby because this is fun stuff.... i'm in PINK HEAVEN, completely in my element!!!

And yet another post from me...

Today... :-)

I didn't want to say too much at first, but i was asked yesterday to join the Design Team at Creative Hearts Studio Which i STILL have a hard time believing... I've applied to SO MANY design teams. This is such a huge thrill. Its like applying for a job as a paper artist with the best paper artists in the WORLD, or at least the country! I so appreciate Carrie and Traci taking a chance with me, as i'm sure it IS a pretty big risk, figuring out who can best do this job, who's reliable enough to do consistent good work and best represent their company. Well I intend to do a STELLAR job and make them glad they chose me, WOOHOO!

Can't forget yesterday's month in review!!

ARgh! i can't figure out how to make these side by side!! no one has EVER accused me of being a technological genius But anyway, this is April, a month in review, for my month in review album. I got the idea from Brenda Carpenter on the scrap room boards http://www.scrap-room.com Where she created a 2 pg layout using her scrap room kits, of each month. Well, i scrap so MUCH that its easy to get lost in an album and miss the big picture. This is a GREAT way to keep that big picture, AND find more to scrap, if you tend to run out of pictures, like crazy old me :-) at the end of the year, i'll have a book that we can look back on and see all the major events in our lives, and some minor ones too, i love it! I'll keep posting those as i complete them.

today

today... pics coming soon! i scrapped with Teresa outside in our front yard while the kids played in the sprinkler! it was a bit crazy, and an awful lot of work for ONE layout.. LOL but fun. Leif sure didn't appreciate being stuck in the pack and play most of the time! anyway, i made this layout

Ok, i think the funk is officially OVER! i've been in sortof a funk lately... creating reluctantly, just to get it done, but i did the challenge over at the scrapjacked blog and it was so interesting and different and fun that it transformed things for me i think... tell me what you think, gotta warn you, its really WEIRD!!!!!

The other side of Anna's zoo layout...

feeling kind of uninspired lately... sigh... of course that would happen when i have all kinds of great new goodies! argh! perhaps its because i'm on my 7th page of my scrapdango kit. (still have lots left too! it rocks!!!! anyway, should get back to kidlets... just realized i forgot to post this yesterday.

Ok, so here's another! i used watercolors to stamp the flowers then traced around the semi-nebulous form with watercolor pencil, also the word magic is glue with white glitter, had to trace around that too.

I totally love this layout! mostly its cause i love the picture... leif looks as if he's looking right at you. This was made using my new Piggytales Hansel kit from www.scrapdango.net which absolutely ROCKS! i made a double pager Friday when i got the kit but i'm not impressed with it so i haven't uploaded it yet. This one however, i love! usually, i feel like the journaling ruins the look of the layout but this one, i think it makes the cardstock look like background and makes the pics and paper pop, which i like. Anyway, that's it for now! hope to get some mom time yet today!!!!

Did a layout today!!

I made this one by lightly stamping with black ink on patterned paper, then doodling around the stamp, then cutting around the doodle and placing on foam squares to mount on the layout.. i totally hate these colors but i like the muted effect and how it turned out.

Today

Today is a GOOD day. I'm really appreciating my life today. I LOVE that i'm able to homeschool. We've had SUCH a fun morning... laughing at my sentence examples in spelling, science was pretty wacky too.... Alex and his "anus" jokes, ARGH! gotta love 12yo boy humor!

OH and one of my layouts was featured in the scrapbook site newsletter, which i'm super excited about!!! if you want to see, go here http://thescrapbooksite.com/newsletter.htm
and click on june cooordinates newsletter. its on the last page. this site btw is awesome! the newsletters ROCK. LOTS of great ideas, and the kits are perfect, just the right size.. just the right price... man, i'm getting SO much mileage out of my phoebe BG kit! it just keeps GOING and going! (Not affiliated, other than being a happy customer.)

anyway, thought i'd include a pic of the layout that was published in that newsletter :-) cause i like it :-D

What kind of accent do you have?

OK, this is too fun! had to post it, here's mine, and a link to try yourself!

What American accent do you have? (Best version so far)

Midland

("Midland" is not necessarily the same thing as "Midwest") The default, lowest-common-denominator American accent that newscasters try to imitate. Since it's a neutral accent, just because you have a Midland accent doesn't mean you're from the Midland.

What i've been working on-

I just started a new sub at www.scrapdango.com which by the way ROCKS! i'm awaiting my Hansel kit which should hopefully arrive TODAY!!!! and one of the celeb designers there is Tessa Ann Watte, and i took one look at her blog and it was SO beautiful... i absolutely LOVE Her work, this one, which was made utilizing a sketch from Lucy who makes ROCKING sketches, btw, was inspired by all the doodling in Tessa Ann's layouts!

Hello!

Hi! my name is Rebecca, and I decided its high time i started a scrappy blog! First a little about me. I am a Jesus freak, I live in the Pacific Northwest, am married to a wonderful man, Andrew, who's clearly equally as crazy as me being that we connect so well. We are loving parents to 5 beautiful, albeit crazy children! I am a paper designer, focusing mainly on scrapbook pages, although i also enjoy a variety of mini books and other altered projects. Scrappy time is my sanity, and i do a LOT of it. That's it for now, as its school time (yep, we homeschool too!)
Thanks for stopping by! hope to share more soon!
