SCRAP ATTACK!

wanted to post about a great site i've been spending lots of time at lately www.scrapattackscrapbooking.com there's a TON of amazing challenges going on, which is my thing for sure, and you can earn sig line charms for doing stuff, its way fun. Plus the store sells the ever ellusive 6x12 albums!

Today...

Today i made this one... which i have to say, i LOVE!!! it was tedious as i had do sew one row across all the ribbons on the bottom, then sew the strip to the page, and i'm SO not good at sewing on PAPER! then i wove the paper strips and added the elements... then i painted polkadots on the blue thickers.... which just looks SO cool in person!!! i just totally love it! HAD to post this one quick before bed. :-)

I'm sorry i've not posted in such a long time! its been INSANE around here... my FIL showed up at my doorstep a week ago, and surprise! he was staying for almost a week. Which was GREAT, it totally made our 4th of July! holidays are sort of humdrum around here since we don't have family in the area... but this one was AWESOME. i've been busy though. I have a ton of things to post, i wanted to start with my layout that got pick of the day at serendipity scrapbooks. I'll post a couple more once i get the baby down for his nap. Anyway, i totally love this Imaginesce paper... its so vibrant and beautiful... its one of those lines, kind of like Junkitz' fanciful, that tends to create itself, and no matter what you do, its beautiful! that's my kind of paper ;-) anyway, here's the link, and the layout

a little summer fun for your 4th of july....

This is a layout of my children, and my friend Teresa's children playing waterballoons. the tag features journaling and pulls out of the bottom. I gummed up 3 (!!!!) needles making this! ARGGH! i wish sewing on layouts wasn't so cute because its DRIVING ME CRAZY! :-) OH, and in case you are wondering, my children are the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 9th ones in the picture... Leify didn't get to play :-)

Ok, i wasn't particularily enthused about doing 6x12 layouts at first... but it was a challenge on the scrap attack site, so i figured i'd give it a go. I'm making an ABC book for Annabeth. its way fun and so easy to scan :-) thought i'd share the 2 i've made so far.
